Lauder Lass continues to touch the hearts of many

An article written today for a magazine . . .

What can we say about Lauder Lass, she has completely astounded us all from being petrified of humans, various sounds and smells, from initially only favouring doughnuts or hobnobs to now favouring ‘normal’ horse treats like mints, carrots and other equine treats. From being petrified of a single hair follicle or finger movement or touch to now asking to be scratched on ‘her chosen’ areas. From holding on to a mouthful of water for what seemed like an age without a droplet leaving her mouth to now drinking and slobbering all over the place afterwards. From being, naturally, scared of the horses she first met here to being supportive and caring of the ones in mourning having lost two of their long standing (of 20, 15 and 10 years – Equine and Canine) buddies. From not being able to put anything on her back to placing a light weight sheet which then allowed her to accept a warm inside and outside rug for the first time ever and just five days ago ( last day of March) she accepted a saddle which has totally surprised many Equine Specialists.

 Who would have guessed

Not only has Lauder lass had articles written in the Lauderdale News, The Southern Reporter, her own Website as well as numerous facebook pages but she has also been mentioned on Natural Health Radio as well as a more recent meeting with a Film Producer who would like to organise a Documentary on giving animals and those with communication issues a chance to have their own voice.

Lauder Lass, for the length of time you have been with us your story has given numerous other animals ‘hope’ and owners more patience as well as an understanding that without 50/50 communication or with a dictatorial attitude an equal respect and the natural desire to please will not exist.

Thank you for continued support.

On the 11th March a photographer was extremely moved as she took numerous photographs and video footages (the latter will follow soon). Here are a few of the photographs. . .

An incredible day to get to for this much loved world wide Mare, who was once too scared to be touched and who is forever scarred from her life before her previous owner of 7 weeks. A world wide medal should be going to this horse for having the courage to want to ever trust again. . .  well done Lauder |Lass.
