A huge achievement . . . a light weight rug . ..

Having managed to get a numnah on to Lauder Lass a couple of weeks ago and having put it on her regularly since she has now gone a stage further –  a light weight rug with a surcingle – – – although we have taken a photo tonight, the light was not great, so you will have one in the morning –  this is a fantastic step forward –  especially if we are going to have a severe winter.

We now just need to allow her to get used to this for a while and then we will be introducing one with tummy straps, then a while after that one with leg straps or a tail strap –  this is just tremendous – –  maybe Didget Doo is there reassuring her in spirit . . . . well done Lauder Lass, this is wonderful and we are so, so proud of you.

yay! lots of love to all. xl. and Ankie

    • Thank you Lisa, you know when we think back to how Lauder Lass, other wise known at the time as XXXX, was when she first arrived here, she really has come such a long, long way. It may have taken time, but every single minute of this time has given her the confidence and trust that she so wished for but never thought she was going to get . . .The first week being in here we can clearly remember saying ” Please don’t give up on me like the others have done, I so want to trust but am just too scared to do so” well, that in itself tells a thousand stories – – – and now . . . well we are speechless . . . she truly does deserve a massive massive reward . . . . and proves that all animals, given the right handling and understanding can indeed get over their issues. If she can, then believe us any one can . . . .
